Designed to assist students with their studies and ultimately help them achieve their career ambitions, Nestlé Professional is proud to be continuing its support of William Angliss students in these challenging times when culinary apprentices are facing a difficult road ahead.
“Being awarded the Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat scholarship has made a huge difference for me,” said scholarship recipient Mart Cavin Espinase.
“Especially now that the foodservice industry has seen a significant decline. It has affected my career as it reduced my working hours and I temporarily lost my job. But with the scholarship, I feel secure about my future as I plan on using it to cover my upcoming school fees, which will allow me to continue my journey as a chef.”
Mart is studying Certificate IV Commercial Cookery and Certificate IV Patisserie at William Angliss Institute Sydney. He is one of five Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat scholarship recipients from across Sydney and Melbourne to have been awarded a scholarship to support skills development, travel, living and other study-related expenses, such as cookery resources and equipment.
“Nestlé Professional is proud to partner with Australia’s leading culinary institute,” said Karlie Durrant, communications & sustainability manager, Nestlé Professional.
“These student scholarships are a true testament to our commitment to the future of the industry. Now more than ever is the time that young chefs need our support and we’re proud to stand by them and offer them the opportunity to continue with their culinary development,”
Applications for Semester 2 scholarships are now open.
